About us
The First Spiritualist Church of San Diego has had a long and colorful history, playing a major role in the development of Spiritualism in San Diego since 1881. Many of San Diego’s founding families, seeking to create a more progressive and tolerant city, were the early founders, leaders, and members of our church. We proudly carry those values of love and acceptance of all people into the future.
The First Spiritualist Church holds regular Lecture Services on Sunday mornings at 11am, with Interesting and Enlightening guest speakers, and Auric Healing Services at 10am. In addition, we hold Message Circles, Psychic Fairs, and Potlucks, and offer many classes and workshops on various methods of Spiritual Development & Healing.
If you are looking for a church that has unusual vibrations, First Spiritualist Church may be your answer. We have a very different approach to religion. We believe in the continuation of life after death and communications with Spirit through mediumship. Our psychics and mediums help to deliver messages from Spirit to all of our guests. Rev. Vicki Winter
Minister of Healing
Rev. Vicki Winters has been practicing Spiritualism since the big Easter earthquake of 2010 in San Diego, which opened her to Spirit, along with her daughters, Kelly and Jewel. She began with Spirit Photography, then was led to mediumship and a passion for healing. Since then, she has become and Ordained Minister and completed more than 18 courses, including Advanced Universal Healing, Transformational Healing, Healing with the Energy of Jesus, and Healing with Crystals.
Rev. Vicki says that she was lost only to be found at First Spiritualist Church in 2016, by the power of the purest love and camaraderie her heart has ever known.
Rev. Iris Ortiz
Rev. Iris Ortiz is the mother of two grown daughters and a grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren. She is a Reiki Master, practices Theta healing and is a talented psychic medium.
In 2008, in Sonora, Mexico, she was given the gift of vision by her Indigenous Spirit guides. Since then, she has taken numerous classes and traveled the globe to Africa, Mexico and many other places to expand her knowledge and beliefs in the Spiritual world. She made First Spiritualist her home in 2012 and welcomes the opportunity to be able to pass along the knowledge she has learned over the years.
